Entertainment (Radio Mirchi)

We are based over in Surya Nagar, Uppal, specifically at 1-49/6/A. If you know Hyderabad, you know Uppal is a bit of a distance from the main IT hubs, but it’s got its own rhythm. This is where we handle stuff for Entertainment, specifically the Radio Mirchi side of things. People think radio is all about being on air, but there’s a lot of office work behind it too. Our place in Surya Nagar is where a lot of that happens. It’s a regular building, nothing too special to look at from the street. We’ve got some sound equipment and a lot of computers. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s actually quite nice to work here. You don't have the constant roar of the Hi-Tech city traffic. We show up, deal with the music playlists or the ad schedules, and chat with the team. It’s a relaxed environment for the most part. Sometimes we have to stay late if there’s a big event or a special show coming up. We don't have a fancy dress code or anything. Most of us just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the tasks. It’s been a good home for us in Uppal. We’ve seen the metro come up nearby and the whole area change, but our little office in Surya Nagar stays pretty much the same. We just keep the gears turning so the shows go out on time every day.
