If you look right across from the police station in LB Nagar, that’s where you’ll find our office. It gets pretty noisy with the Hyderabad traffic rushing by all day, but we’ve gotten used to it. Emas Engineers & Contractors Pvt. Ltd has been operating out of this spot for years. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the site supervisors and the guys handling the supplies. Sometimes the cement truck shows up late because of a jam on the main road, and we have to shuffle the schedule. It’s a lot of juggling. Our desks are piled with blueprints and old invoices that need sorting. We do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to contracting work around this part of the city. Usually, the morning starts with a quick meeting to see who is going where and which machines need servicing. It’s not the kind of job where you sit still for long. Most of us are out in the sun for half the day, checking measurements or talking to the bricklayers. We aren't a huge corporation with a shiny lobby, just a bunch of people who know how to put a building together. Sometimes things go wrong, like a machine breaking down, and we just have to fix it and keep going. That’s how it works here in LB Nagar. We just focus on the task at hand and try to finish before the rains start each year.
