We are located in room 309 of the Model House building. It’s part of that 6-3-456/A/1 block right in the middle of Punjagutta. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how hectic it gets. We spend our days up here on the third floor. The office is full of filing cabinets and those old-style chairs that squeak every time you move. It’s not a large space, but we make it work for the few of us who are here every day. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery or a question. We don’t have any big posters or fancy lights. Most of the light comes from the windows that look out over the street below. You can hear the horns honking all day long, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We have a small table in the back where we eat lunch together. It’s usually just home-cooked food brought in tiffins. We’ve been at Model House for quite a stretch, so we know the security guards and the other people in the building pretty well. It’s a straightforward setup. No one wears suits unless they really have to. We just focus on the tasks we have in front of us and try to get through the pile of work before it’s time to go home. The elevator can be a bit slow, so we usually end up waiting for a few minutes while chatting with neighbors from other floors.
