Our location is 7-4-124 in Gaganpahad, Hyderabad. It’s right there in the Rajendranagar area, near the highway. Working with construction chemicals means our clothes often end up with spots that won't come out. Ecmas is a place where we focus on the practical side of building things. The yard is usually full of trucks coming and going. We have to keep track of a lot of inventory, which keeps the office staff busy with ledgers and computers. The phone rings a lot. It’s usually someone asking about a delivery or a specific product code. We don’t have a script for how we talk to people. We just tell them what we have in stock and when it might arrive. The weather in Hyderabad can get really dry, and you feel it out here in the open spaces of the industrial zone. We have a small canteen area where we grab tea in the mornings. It’s a no-nonsense type of workplace. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just make the chemicals that help hold structures together. It’s repetitive sometimes, but it’s a living for all of us. We know the neighbors in the other units, and we help each other out when someone needs a tool or a bit of help moving something heavy. That’s just how it is here. The days are long, but the work is steady and that is enough.
