U B Engineering

U B Engineering is a small shop located at Plot No 35 in Mahesh Nagar, right by the Ecil Post. We have been here for a while now. The space is mostly filled with lathes, milling machines, and various hand tools. We do a lot of small-scale engineering work. Most of the day is spent hunched over a workbench or standing by a machine. It is not the kind of place where you’ll find people in fancy clothes. We wear overalls and heavy boots. Mahesh Nagar is a decent area, but it gets very busy around the post office. We often hear the traffic and the people outside while we are working. Sometimes we have to stop what we are doing to help a customer who just walked in with a broken part. We don't have a formal reception. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't busy. The walls are lined with old calendars and charts for drill sizes. We have a small radio that plays local stations in the background, though you can barely hear it when the machines are running. It is a steady way to make a living. We don't have big goals of expanding into a huge factory. We just like the work we do here in our corner of Mahesh Nagar. The tea break is a sacred time for us, usually around eleven. We just sit on the stools and talk about nothing in particular before getting back to the metalwork.
