Our office is tucked away in Alandur, specifically on Ponni Amman Koil Street. If you know the area, we are right opposite K.C. House. It’s an old neighborhood in Chennai and things can get a bit congested on the road during the mornings. The building is number 9/7. It belongs to P. Anuradha and Phanindrakumar, so it feels more like a home than a corporate headquarters. We do all the engineering and building plans for Eci Engineering and Construction from here. There are a few of us who sit here all day looking at blueprints and talking to vendors. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always on full blast. You might hear the local traffic outside while we are trying to work. We’ve been here for some time now and the locals are used to seeing us. It’s a small space, mostly filled with files and old computer monitors. We don't have any big signs out front or anything like that. People usually find us by asking around or looking for the landmark. It’s a practical place to work from. We don't spend money on fancy furniture because we’d rather focus on the building side of things. Most of the real action happens out at the sites, but this is where the planning and the boring stuff like payroll happens. It is just a regular Chennai office in a regular street.
