E Sudhakar Teen Maar Band & Jalana Band

If you are ever walking around the Bahadurpura area in Hyderabad, you might hear us before you see us. Our shop is located at 20-1-1088/4 in S.V Nagar. We are right by Purana Pul, just opposite the big Darwaza there. We’ve been running E Sudhakar Teen Maar Band & Jalana Band for quite a long time now. Music is just part of our daily life. We spend a lot of our time practicing with the drums and the brass instruments to make sure we are ready for the next wedding or festival. It gets very loud in the shop sometimes, but the neighbors are used to it by now. Hyderabad has so many celebrations, so we stay pretty busy traveling from one street to another. We carry the instruments ourselves and go wherever the party is happening. It’s hard work, especially when we have to walk and play for a long time under the hot sun, but it’s what we do. We aren't some big entertainment firm; we are just a local band that knows the traditional beats that people like. People come to us when they want that specific energy for their function. We keep our gear in the shop and are always ready to head out at a moment's notice. It’s a simple life, mostly built around the rhythm of the drums and the sound of the band and making sure the instruments are polished. That is how things go for us day in and day out.
