Dr G V Sudhakar

I’ve been working out of this spot in Hyderabad City for quite some time now. The address is 500001, which is right in the heart of things. Dr G V Sudhakar is the name on the door, but most people just come in and say hello like they’ve known me forever. The office is pretty basic. We have a desk, some filing cabinets that are starting to overflow, and a few places for people to sit while they wait. It’s not a shiny medical center with elevators and glass walls. It’s just a ground-floor space where I can talk to patients and figure out what’s wrong. Hyderabad is a loud, vibrant city, and you can hear the scooters and cars passing by all day. Sometimes we have to close the windows just to hear ourselves talk. My staff and I keep a pretty tight schedule, but things often run late because we don't like to rush anyone out the door. It’s a local practice, through and through. We see people from all walks of life who live nearby. There’s no fancy jargon used here; we just speak plain English or the local language. We’ve been through many seasons in this building. The rainy season usually brings a few leaks, but we just put out a bucket and keep going. That’s just how life is here in the city. Everyone here works hard and tries to make the patients feel at home while they wait for their turn.
