Dr Devulapally Nagendar

Being a doctor in the heart of Hyderabad City means I see a little bit of everything. My name is Dr. Devulapally Nagendar, and I’ve stayed put in this 500001 area for a long time. People ask why I don't move to a newer building, but I like the history of this part of town. The streets are narrow and always full of people, bikes, and the smell of local food. My clinic is a reflection of that. It’s functional and a bit crowded at times, especially in the evenings when everyone finishes work. I keep my desk fairly organized, but there are always books and medical journals piled up in the corner. I don't really do much advertising. People just find me by walking past or hearing about me from a cousin or a friend. The waiting room chairs are sturdy, and I keep the lights bright so I can see what I'm doing. My day starts with a cup of tea and a look at the schedule, though the schedule usually changes within the first hour. It’s just the nature of working in a busy city center. I don't try to make things look fancier than they are. We have the equipment we need and a place for people to sit. That’s about it. It’s a straightforward practice where the focus is on the person sitting across from me, not the decor on the walls or the noise outside.
