Royal Sports Wear

Royal Sports Wear is tucked away in Shop No. 4-A on the ground floor of the Sagarview Complex. If you know the Tankbund area, you’ve probably walked past our building on Liberty Road in Domalguda. It’s an older complex, but it stays cool inside even when the sun is beating down on the road. The shop is filled with different jerseys, track pants, and all sorts of gear. We have boxes stacked in the corners because the storage space is a bit tight. I spend a lot of time folding shirts and hanging things back up after people look through them. The view of the lake is just a short walk away, which is nice when I take a quick break for lunch. Most of our regulars are local guys who play cricket on the weekends or kids looking for a new football kit. Sometimes we get tourists who wandered off the main road and ended up in our shop by accident. I try to keep the glass display clean, but fingerprints always seem to find their way back. It’s not a huge operation, just me and occasionally some help when it gets really crowded during the cricket season. The lighting inside could be better, but it does the job. I like the atmosphere of this building; it feels lived-in and real. Every morning I pull up the shutters and start again. It is a simple life and a simple shop.
