Dhanalakshmi Clinic

Our clinic is tucked away in Ashok Nagar, right behind where the old Dbr Mills used to be. We are also opposite the Sbh Colony near the Lower Tank Bund area. It’s a bit of a quiet corner compared to the main roads. You can see the old mill structures from our back window, which is quite a sight. The clinic is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for the older folks to get inside without worrying about stairs. We’ve got a small waiting room with a few magazines that are probably a bit out of date. The walls are painted a light color that’s faded a bit over the years. Most of our patients live right here in the colony or the nearby streets. We’ve seen kids grow up and start bringing their own children here. It gives the place a very local feel. We don't have a big reception desk or a computer system for everything. We still use a lot of handwritten notes and cards for the files. It’s just easier for us that way. The fans overhead hum quite a bit, but they keep the place cool during the humid afternoons. We try to keep a steady pace, but sometimes we get caught up talking to someone about their family or the neighborhood news. It’s a simple clinic in a nice part of town. We just open the doors every morning and see who needs help.
