The clinic sits right near Somajiguda Circle, which means it’s always lively outside. We are located in Nishat Bagh Colony in the Begumpet area of Hyderabad. Most days start early with setting out the instruments and making sure the waiting room chairs are lined up straight. Being in 500082, we get a lot of people walking in who are just passing through the circle or living in the nearby apartments. The hallway is a bit narrow, so things can feel a little tight when three or four people are waiting at once. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background to drown out the sound of the traffic from the main road. It’s a practical space. We don't have marble floors or anything fancy, just clean rooms and the equipment we need to do the job. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we eat in the small back room when there’s a break in the schedule. Sometimes the power flickers when the weather gets bad, but we have a backup to keep the lights on. Patients often ask for directions because the colony layout can be a little confusing if you aren't from around here. We’ve been here long enough that we recognize the postman and the tea stall guy across the street. It’s a steady routine of checkups and cleaning teeth.
