Our place is tucked into the Shamlal Building in Begum Pet. If you know Hyderabad, you know how busy it gets around here. Dealing with all sorts of adhesive tapes and insulation tapes is what we do daily. Because there are boxes everywhere you look, it is a bit of a crowded space. At unit 1-11-124/2, the stock is usually packed floor to ceiling. People come in looking for something specific to fix a wire or seal a box and we usually find it buried somewhere in the stacks. Since this isn't a showroom, it is more of a working warehouse where we spend most of our time. The fans are always running because all that plastic and glue makes it hot. By the end of the shift, my clothes usually have bits of tape stuck to them. We’ve been in Begum Pet for a while and have watched the buildings change around us. Even though the street noise is constant, we are used to it by now. Getting the rolls out to the people who need them is our main focus. We don't spend much time on fancy displays or marketing stuff. Knowing our inventory is more important. If you need a specific insulation tape, it is probably in a box near the back. It’s a simple business but it keeps us on our feet all day long. Hyderabad life is fast and we just keep moving with it. There’s no big secret to how we do things here.
