Our business is located in the heart of old Hyderabad, specifically in the Nizambagh area near Diwan Dewdi. Being so close to Charminar means the streets are always packed with people, rickshaws, and stalls. It is a lively place to work, though it can be a bit of a headache when we are trying to move large cargo through the narrow lanes. Our office is in an old building that has been around for ages. It has high ceilings and stone walls that keep it a bit cooler than the street outside. We handle mostly local moving and cargo transport for the people in this neighborhood. There is no corporate vibe here; it is just a bunch of us sitting around desks covered in invoices and maps. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and figuring out the best routes to take to avoid the worst of the Charminar traffic. Sometimes we sit outside on the stoop and watch the crowds go by while we wait for a shipment to arrive. It is a very traditional way of doing business. We know the neighbors and they know us. The work is physically demanding and there is always something that needs to be hauled or loaded. We just take it one day at a time and keep the cargo moving through the city. Usually, we end the day with some local food from the market.
