Classic Chemicals

You can find us over at Prenderghast Road, right on the ground floor near the Juloori Veereshalingam Mandapam. We’ve been at 1-8-217/1 for some time now. Classic Chemicals is basically just a few of us surrounded by drums and bottles. The air always has a bit of a sharp smell to it, but you get used to it after the first hour. It’s a busy little spot, especially with the 3rd Cross being so narrow sometimes. We spend a lot of our mornings checking the stock and making sure the labels haven't peeled off in the humidity. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We get a lot of local walk-ins because of the Mandapam being such a well-known landmark nearby. People just stop in to ask for prices or see what we have in the back. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. The floor is concrete and usually has a few stains, and the shelves are stacked pretty high. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment comes in, the whole place gets crowded for a few days. We just focus on getting the right bottles to the right people without making a mess of things. It’s a quiet life mostly, just following the routine and keeping the shop open.
