Chippa Ramulu

Chippa Ramulu is the name of my small business here near the Hyderabad GPO. I’ve been in this area for years, and I’ve become a bit of a fixture in this neighborhood. My office is small, but it’s right in the middle of all the action. You can hear the horns honking and the shouting of the vendors all day long. I don't have a big staff. It's mostly just me taking care of the visitors who walk in. I deal with a lot of regular people who need help with their daily affairs or have small problems they can’t solve on their own. I keep a very simple ledger to track everything. I never really got into the habit of using complicated software because the old way works just fine for me. The furniture is made of heavy wood and has been here since I started. It’s sturdy, just like the way I try to work. Sometimes I get distracted by the people passing by outside, but usually, I’m focused on whatever document is in front of me. I don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff. People know where to find me if they need me. It’s a very traditional way of running things, and I like it that way. I take a break in the afternoon for a quick bite and then stay until the GPO quietens down a bit in the evening. It’s a good, honest life here in the city.
