Maruthi Power Cables

You can find us over at Plotno 416 in Phase 1 of the Ida. We are near Bn Reddy Colony in Cherlapally. This area is mostly industrial, so it’s not very quiet at any time of day. We make power cables. It’s a lot of wire and heavy insulation. The spools are big and take up a lot of room on the factory floor. Our building is a simple structure that fits what we need for the machinery. We spend most of our time out on the floor watching the lines and the extruders. It’s important to make sure the coating is even so there are no issues later. Sometimes the copper prices get expensive, which makes things a bit more stressful, but we keep going. The workers here live mostly in the nearby colonies, so we see the same faces every day. We don't do much advertising at all. Most of our work comes from people knowing we are here for a long time. The driveway is a bit bumpy from the heavy trucks coming in. In the summer, the heat inside the metal shed is something else. We drink a lot of water and keep the big industrial fans going. It’s not the most glamorous job, but cables are needed for everything. We just try to keep the machines running and the orders moving out the gate. We’ve been in Cherlapally for a good bit now and we like the location despite the noise.
