Deccan Engineers

Our workshop is based at Plot No 26 in Ida Phase Iii, Cherlapally. This is an industrial area, so it is surrounded by other factories and workshops. We have a lot of heavy machinery here that we use for various engineering tasks. The air usually smells like cut metal and oil. It is a busy place with people moving around and the sound of machines working in the background. We have been in Cherlapally for quite some time now. We do not have an office that is separate from the workshop really. There is just a small corner where we keep our records and a computer. Most of the time we are out on the floor making sure the jobs are being done right. We deal with a lot of technical drawings and measurements that have to be exact. It is a lot of responsibility but we have been doing it long enough that it feels natural. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. We are just engineers who like to build and fix things. If you come by, you will likely find us in our overalls working on a piece of equipment. We stay focused on the tasks we have for the day and try to finish them before it gets dark. It is a long day usually but we are used to the rhythm of this place and the noise of the industry surrounding us.
