Our business, Berco Undercarriages India Pvt. Ltd., is located over in Cherlapally. We take up a good amount of space at Survey No 191 212/215 223 225. We’re in No 10 Sector I Phase Ii, which is a pretty busy part of the industrial zone. Dealing with undercarriages means everything we touch is heavy and usually covered in a bit of grease. It’s not the kind of work you do in a clean shirt. We have a lot of big metal parts stacked around the yard. Most of the people working here have been doing this for years, so they know the sounds of the machines and when something isn't right. Cherlapally can get dusty, especially when the wind picks up, so we’re always sweeping the shop floor. We don't have a lot of meetings or big plans written down on boards. Usually, we just look at the list of what needs to be moved or repaired and we get on with it. The heat in the afternoon can be a bit much, but we have some fans going. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy logos. People know we are here in Sector I if they need parts for their big machines. It’s just steady work. We show up early, do what needs doing, and try to keep things organized. It’s not fancy, but it is our daily life in this industrial area.
