S R Travels

Our office is tucked into the Amarnath Mahajan Complex over near Chandanagar in Hyderabad. If you’ve ever been around this part of the city, you know the traffic can be a real nightmare during the rush hours. We spend a lot of our time on the phones or looking at computer screens trying to sort out travel arrangements. S R Travels isn't a massive company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us sitting in a small room with a lot of maps and schedules pinned to the walls. People come in looking to get from one place to another, and we do our best to find a way that works for them. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to apologize to whoever is sitting across the desk. It’s a lot of juggling dates and times and making sure drivers are where they need to be. Hyderabad is always changing and growing, so there’s always someone needing a ride or a trip planned. We don't have a fancy lounge for people to wait in, just a couple of plastic chairs and maybe a newspaper from yesterday. We’ve been here long enough that we know the shortcuts around the complex and which tea stall has some decent snacks in the afternoon.
