4-D-7 Talwandi is where you’ll find our office. Kota is a very hot place, especially during the summer months. We keep the coolers running all day long to stay sane. The office is tucked away in a block that looks a bit like the houses around it. It's quiet most of the time except when the students are moving around in the streets nearby. Bel has been in this exact spot for a good bit now. We don't have a big lobby or fancy chairs for people to sit in. Just the basic stuff we need to get our work done. There’s a big desk in the center where we pile up all the papers and files. Rajasthan life is steady and predictable. We start our day early to beat the heat. Usually, we're in the office by 8:30. My cousin helps me with the accounts and the phone. We don't use a lot of fancy software, just the basics that have always worked for us. The walls are painted a light cream color, but they're getting a bit yellowed with age. It doesn't bother anyone who works here. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day. The local guy brings it over in a small steel kettle. It's usually the best part of the afternoon. People in Talwandi are friendly. They stop by just to say hello sometimes. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just do the work as it comes in and keep things moving. We're just a small part of the town.
