We are tucked away in K.P.H.B. Colony, specifically on Road No-2 in Kukatpally. The address is E.W.S-15-28-109, which is a bit of a mouthful if you’re trying to tell a delivery driver where to go. Our lab is a place where a lot of learning happens alongside the actual clinical work. We have rows of benches with microscopes and various machines that beep and hum all day long. It’s mostly quiet here because people are focusing on their samples or reading through lab manuals. The students who come here are usually trying to get a handle on how the testing process works in the real world. We spend a lot of time cleaning slides and organizing the chemicals we need for the week. The neighborhood is typical for Kukatpally, with a lot of houses and small shops nearby. Sometimes we step out to the local tea stall when we’ve been staring at data for too long. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights outside. It’s just a plain building where we do the work of bioclinical learning. Every morning starts with checking the equipment and making sure the temperature in the lab is just right for the samples. It’s a repetitive kind of job, but someone has to make sure everything is recorded correctly and the students actually learn what they are doing. We just keep the lab running and the students busy until the end of the day.
