24 X 7 Translines

Our office is way up on the tenth floor of Babukhan Estate. It is a bit of a trek up the elevator every morning, but the view of the city is okay when you get a second to look. We handle transport stuff here, mostly coordinating trucks and schedules. Being called 24 X 7 Translines means the phones don't really stop ringing much. Someone is always checking on a delivery or seeing where a driver has reached. It gets a bit noisy with all the talking and the printers going off. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of maps and schedules pinned to the walls. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the logs straight. Sometimes things go smooth and other times there are delays we have to sort out. That is just how the transport business goes. Most of us have been working in logistics for a long time so we don't get surprised by much anymore. We just stay focused on the movement of goods and making sure everything is where it needs to be. The building is usually busy with other offices too, so there is always people coming and going. We just keep our heads down and get the job done. We try to keep things organized even when it gets hectic. It's a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
