Our workshop is located at number 37 in the Tie area of Balanagar. If you know Hyderabad at all, you know Balanagar is a real hub for this kind of work. It’s a bit of an older industrial area, but that’s what gives it some character, I think. We’ve got the machines running most of the day, so there’s a constant hum in the background of everything we do. Dealing with polymers and polytek stuff means things can get a bit messy, but we try to keep the floor as clear as we can. It’s a practical space designed for work, not for showing off. Most of the people working here at Vijetha Polytek have lived in Hyderabad for years, so we’ve seen the city grow and the industry change. The commute can be a bit of a pain with the traffic, but once you’re inside the gates, it’s just about getting the day's tasks finished. We usually take our lunch together, often talking about the cricket scores or just complaining about the heat in the summer months. It’s a straightforward environment. We don’t have fancy marketing people or big logos everywhere. It’s just a place where we work with plastic and try to make sure we don't make too many mistakes. It’s a long day usually, but we are all used to it by now.
