We are situated at A 7 in the C I E area of Balanagar. This is another one of those industrial estates where everyone is making or selling something. Our building is a simple structure that has been our home for a good number of years. Inside, it’s a mix of a small office and a storage area for the supplies we handle. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. There are some old wooden desks and a lot of ledgers and papers stacked up. Most of the day is spent talking to suppliers or checking on orders that are supposed to go out. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s answering the phone or helping move a crate. The area gets pretty crowded with tempos and delivery vans around noon, so things can get a bit hectic. We usually have a bit of a lull in the late afternoon when it’s time for some tea. We don't put on any acts for anyone; we just show up and do the work that needs doing. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet because we are usually too busy with the day-to-day tasks. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we’ve gotten to know the other business owners on this street pretty well over time. We just keep the door open and keep working.
