Banyan Sustainable Waste Management Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Plot No 64 in the Svcie Ida Phase Ii area of Balanagar. It is an industrial spot where we handle a lot of what other people throw away. The yard is usually full of different materials waiting to be processed or moved. It is not the cleanest job in the world, but it is necessary work for the city. We have a crew that works through the piles, sorting out what can be reused and what cannot. Balanagar is a heavy industrial zone, so we fit right in with the other warehouses and factories around us. We are not doing this to look good; we are just managing the waste that comes our way every morning. The machines for processing can be very loud, and there is always a truck coming in or leaving the gate. We spend our days tracking volumes and making sure things are stored safely. It gets very dusty and hot in the summer, especially under the big metal roof. We keep our operations simple and focus on the daily intake of material. It is practical work. We do not have a big corporate headquarters, just the small office at the front of the plot where we handle the logs. Most of the real work happens out back among the containers and the sorting belts where the crew stays busy.
