Bacto-Chem Laboratories

We are based over at 15 in the I.D.A. area of Balanagar, right in the heart of Hyderabad’s industrial zone. It’s a place where there are laboratories and factories on every corner, so we fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood. Our lab is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment packed into the rooms, and there are always crates of glass beakers or chemical jugs sitting near the entrance. The floor is that old-fashioned grey tile, and we have whiteboards everywhere with notes and formulas that we forgot to erase weeks ago. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for the hum of the refrigerators and the occasional sound of someone washing up in the sinks. We don't really have a public area; people who come here are usually just delivering supplies or picking up test results. Most of us have worked in Balanagar for years, so we know the best places to get a quick tea or where to park so your car doesn’t get blocked by a delivery truck. We spend our hours looking through microscopes or waiting for cultures to grow. It’s just the daily routine of lab work, and we don't try to make it sound more exciting than it actually is. It’s a steady job in a steady part of town.
