If you go to Balanagar, specifically Ida at 36A-D-7A2Ndflr, you will find Andhra Expanded Polystyrene Pvt. Ltd. We are on the second floor there. It’s an industrial area so it’s pretty grey and dusty around here. We work with that white foam stuff that people use for packing electronics or keeping things cold. It gets everywhere. Little white balls all over the floor no matter how much we sweep. The machines make a lot of noise and it gets hot in the summer. We have been in this spot in Hyd-037 for a good while. It’s a practical business. We make the blocks and shapes that companies need. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We wear old clothes because of the mess. Most of our day is spent checking the molds and moving the big lightweight sheets around. It takes up a lot of space because foam is mostly air. The lift in the building is sometimes slow so we use the stairs. We know the other guys in the industrial estate. We grab lunch at the local stalls nearby. It’s a busy life here in Balanagar. We just keep making the polystyrene and sending it out on the trucks. That’s the whole story of our daily grind. We don't have a big front office or anything, just the factory floor where the work gets done by the team.
