Access Solar Ltd.

Balanagar is a busy industrial patch, and we are tucked away at S/5 in the TIE area. Access Solar Ltd. isn't a huge operation, but we stay busy with the panels and the frames. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, which I guess is good for what we do. We spend a lot of time out back checking the cells and making sure the glass isn't cracked. It’s a lot of repetitive work, bolting things together and wiring up the smaller components. The warehouse gets pretty hot, so we have a couple of big fans that mostly just push the warm air around. People come in looking for ways to get off the grid, and we show them what we have sitting in the crates. There’s no big sales pitch here, just the facts about what the panels can do and how much space they take up. Most of us here have been working in the Balanagar area for years. We know the tea stall around the corner and the guys at the welding shop next door. It’s a tight-knit spot in the industrial estate. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and our evenings making sure the inventory matches the paperwork. It’s straightforward work and we like it that way. No one wears a suit here; it’s all work shirts and heavy boots because those frames are sharper than they look.
