We are tucked away on Apiic Industrial Estate Road in Prashanth Nagar, right here in Kukatpally. Most days start pretty early when the shutters go up and the first trucks roll in. It’s a busy part of town and the traffic on the road out front can get a bit much by mid-morning. We have been at this address, No. 5-9-16/2, for a while now. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of tools and guys talking over the noise of the machines. We handle a lot of different auto parts and it keeps us on our feet. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and that’s when we take a quick break. It isn't a fancy place, just a workspace where things get done. You can see the dust on the shelves but that just shows we’re working. People stop by asking for this or that, and we do what we can to help them out. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit since we first opened, with more buildings going up every year. Still, we just keep to our routine. It’s mostly about getting the orders sorted and making sure the inventory is where it should be. By the time the sun starts going down, we’re usually wrapping things up. It’s honest work and we don't think much about anything else besides getting through the daily list of tasks. That’s just how life goes here at Auto India.
