Anusha Puppala Architect & Interior Design Studio

Running the Anusha Puppala Architect & Interior Design Studio keeps us on our toes every single day. We are located right by the Jubilee Hills Checkpost, which is basically the heart of all the action in Hyderabad 500033. Most mornings start with a lot of coffee while we look over floor plans and material samples spread across the tables. The studio is a bit of a mess sometimes with rolls of drawings, tile pieces, and fabric swatches everywhere. Being in Jubilee Hills means we see a lot of people coming and going constantly. We spend half our time here at the desk and the other half driving out to various construction sites to see how things are coming along. It is not always glamorous work. There is a lot of dust, arguing with contractors, and making sure measurements are exactly right. We do not try to look like some big corporate firm with a dozen receptionists. It is just us here working on houses and offices. Sometimes a design takes a long time to figure out, and we end up staying late when the traffic outside finally dies down. The checkpost area is always noisy with horns and cars, but you get used to it after a while. We like being in this part of town because everything we need is close by. It is a lot of hard work to get a room looking right, but we have been doing this long enough to know the shortcuts and the pitfalls. We just take it one project at a time.
