We are tucked away on the third floor of Anarkali Chambers, which is part of Unity House in the Abids area. Most people know the Taj Mahal Hotel across the street, so that’s usually how we tell people to find us. Being up on the third floor means we are a bit removed from the noise of the main road, though you can still hear the horns honking down below. We have a few rooms here, numbers 24 through 27, where we handle all the travel arrangements. It’s mostly paperwork and computer work, getting visas sorted and booking international flights for local families or businessmen. The building itself is an older one, so it has that specific feel to it, maybe a bit dusty in the corners but it’s where we’ve always been. We don’t really do much in the way of big advertisements; people just seem to find us or they’ve been coming here for years. We handle a lot of the details that people find annoying, like checking baggage rules or figuring out layovers. It’s a steady kind of life here in the office. We open up in the morning, check the emails, and start going through the stack of files on the desk. It’s not a glamorous business but it’s an important one for the people who need to get their travel documents in order. We just keep working until the sun goes down and then head home.
