Anand Electricals

Anand Electricals has been at 3-6-474/2 in Himayat Nagar for a long time. It is a busy area, so there is always a lot of traffic outside our door. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with switches, wires, and bulbs. It is hard to find things sometimes, but we usually know exactly which pile to dig through. Most of the day is spent helping people who come in with a broken fan or needing a specific fuse for their house. We aren't a big showroom with air conditioning and fancy lights. It is just a practical place where we keep the stock people need. My hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the boxes. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break on the stools out front. Himayat Nagar is a good place to be, even if it gets loud with all the horns honking. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here. We talk about the weather or the local news while we wrap up orders in old newspaper or plastic bags. It is a straightforward way to spend the day. We deal with the electricity stuff so others don't have to worry about it. That is the long and short of it. We don’t have a website or anything, just this shop on the corner.
