Golcha Traders

Our place, Golcha Traders, is down in Amlapuram, specifically at number 4-1-55 in the East Godavari district. It’s a very traditional kind of area, and our shop fits right in with the others on the street. We do a lot of trading with local goods and whatever else is in demand at the time. The building is older, with heavy doors and high ceilings that help a bit with the heat. In the mornings, we unload stuff and get everything set up for the day. There’s a lot of talking involved, mostly with regular customers who have been coming to this part of town for years. We handle the paperwork on an old desk that’s seen better days. Amlapuram is a busy place, especially on market days when the whole street is packed with people and carts. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, buying and selling and making sure things move along. It’s not a complicated business. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the shop and talk to whoever comes by. The smell of the nearby market and the sound of the traffic are just part of the background here. It’s steady work, and we’re happy to be a part of the local scene. Usually, we close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning. It's a simple way of life here.
