I have been living and working around Malakpet for a long time, and my place is at Door No 16-3-991/2/B. It is quite easy to find if you know where the Bibi Cancer Hospital is, or the Meridian Function Hall, which is right nearby. Most of my days are spent either practicing some songs or talking on the phone to arrange things for different events. Being an organizer means there is always something going on, like making sure the microphones work or checking if the stage is ready. It is not always smooth, sometimes the equipment acts up or someone arrives late, but that is just how the entertainment business goes in Hyderabad. My office isn't very big, it's just a practical space where I keep my notes and some of my musical stuff. You can hear the noise from the main road usually, but inside I try to focus on the melodies. People stop by to talk about their family functions or just to say hello because they live in the neighborhood. I don't use any fancy management software, just a diary and my memory for most things. It's a lot of running around from one hall to another, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants music. It gets tiring but I’ve been doing this so long I don't know what else I would do. It’s just me and my work here in Malakpet, keeping things moving one song at a time.
