Amit Electricals

Operating out of Banjara Hills at 6-3-248/4/A has its moments. It’s a busy area and the traffic can be a real headache sometimes, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. Amit Electricals isn't some massive showroom with glass doors. It’s just us, sitting here among piles of conduits, switchboards, and coils of copper wire. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time. Most of our day is spent checking the inventory or talking to the regular electricians who stop by for their supplies. Sometimes the tea guy forgets our order, or the rain leaks a bit near the front door, but we keep things moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Hyderabad. We just want to make sure when a neighbor comes in because their kitchen light is flickering, we have the right starter or tube ready for them. It’s a lot of manual counting and writing things down in old ledgers. My brother usually handles the customers while I look after the stock in the back. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a small fan that does the job. Life is pretty simple here. We open early, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer. It is just honest work, really. No fancy speeches, just selling electrical bits and pieces to whoever needs them in the neighborhood. Anyway, if you find yourself near our part of Banjara Hills, you can usually spot our sign easily enough.
