Schindler Lifts Repair

Ameerpet is always a bit of a chaotic place to be. You know how the traffic gets around here, especially in the late afternoons when everyone is trying to get somewhere at once. Our little spot for Schindler Lifts Repair is tucked away in the middle of it all. Most of the day is spent with grease on our hands and tools spread across the floor. It is not a fancy office by any means. There are usually old lift parts sitting on the workbench and some oily rags thrown in the corner. Much of the time is spent out at different apartment buildings or offices, mostly dealing with elevators that have started to make strange noises or making sure the cables are still in good shape. My hands are usually stained with dark oil by ten in the morning and it stays that way until it is time to go home. Sometimes the small fan we have does not quite beat the Hyderabad heat, so we just leave the front door open and listen to the horns honking outside. The tea stall just around the corner brings over a few hot cups every morning, and that is pretty much how the day starts. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. If the phone rings and we are busy under a lift car, it might take us a bit to get to it. People around here seem to understand we are just working. The shelves are crowded with spare parts and heavy bolts. It is dusty work, but someone has to keep the lifts moving.
