Aadya Knits

Aadya Knits is over at Plot No 1 in R K Nagar, Almasguda. We’ve got our machines set up here and this is where all the knitting happens. It is a busy place, especially when we have a big load to finish. You can hear the sound of the equipment from the street sometimes. We aren't a big fashion house or anything. We just make knitted items and sell them. It’s a lot of thread and needles and checking for mistakes. The floor is usually covered in bits of yarn by evening. We started in Almasguda because it was a good spot for us to get a decent space. R K Nagar is a nice area and we know the other shop owners around here. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come by, you’ll just see the production area and where we store the finished pieces. It is just us and a few helpers working the machines. Some days are long, especially when a machine jams and we have to take it apart to fix it. We don't mind the hard work though. It’s what we know. We just focus on making sure the stitches are tight and the quality is okay for what it is. We’ve been at this for some time now and we just keep plugging away. It can get hot in the workshop but we keep the fans going to stay cool.
