Akramunnisa Poultry Farm

Akramunnisa Poultry Farm is located out in Maruthi Nagar, right beside Gandhi Nagar in the Quthbullapur area. Life on a farm like this starts long before most people in Hyderabad are even awake. The chickens are loud in the morning, and there is always plenty of work to do with feeding and cleaning. We have several rows of sheds, and we spend most of the day walking between them. It is a dusty job, and you definitely do not want to wear your best clothes here. We have been at this D. No. 154/13/1 address for quite some time now. Navya Apartments are close by, so we have to be careful about keeping things as tidy as possible so we do not bother the neighbors too much. It is a lot of manual labor, lifting bags of feed and checking on the health of the birds. We do not have a fancy office; it is mostly just a desk near the entrance where we keep the logs. My family helps out with the daily chores, and we have a few local workers who have been with us for years. We do not really think of ourselves as a big business. We just produce what people need and make sure the farm keeps running day after day. It is a tough life but it is what we know. The weather in Ranga Reddy district can be harsh, but we manage somehow.
