We are located at Plot No. 120Cie in Gandhinagar, Balanagar. At Aj Packaging Ltd, our day starts early with the sound of the folding machines. There is cardboard everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we have a big order ready to go out. The air smells like glue and dry paper. We don’t have fancy furniture in the office. It’s just some old desks and a few chairs that have seen better days. We focus more on making sure the boxes are sturdy. If the die-cutter acts up, the whole morning can get thrown off. We’ve learned to listen for the specific clank it makes when it’s getting tired. Balanagar is a busy industrial hub, so there is always noise from the street. We get used to it. Lunch is usually a quick affair brought from home. We don't have a cafeteria or anything like that. Most of the guys have been working these machines for a decade. They know exactly how much pressure to apply without even looking. It’s a physical job, lifting bundles and loading the trucks. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move the stock. We just deal with things as they come. No one here is trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to get the packaging finished and delivered so we can go home. It’s a simple life.
