Advanced Endocrine & Diabetes Hospital

This hospital is tucked away on Road No 3 in Phase-1 of KPHB. It is a specialized place, mostly dealing with diabetes and hormone stuff. We aren't one of those massive hospitals with ten floors and a cafeteria. It’s more of a focused building where people come because they have to keep an eye on their sugar levels. We spend a lot of time talking to patients about what they ate and how they feel. Many of the people we see have been coming here for years. They know the nurses and they know where to sit. The waiting room has some posters about healthy eating that have been there for a while. We keep the air conditioning on pretty high because it gets stuffy with so many people in and out. The lab is in the back where we do all the blood tests. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when everyone comes in for their fasting tests. We try to get through the queue as fast as we can, but sometimes there’s a wait. No one likes waiting, but we do our best. The staff here is used to the routine. We see a lot of elderly folks from the KPHB area who walk over from their homes. It’s a practical place, nothing too shiny or corporate. We just handle the medical side of things and let people get back to their day. It serves a purpose for the people living in this part of town.
