Jawaharat Ul Osman Jewellers

We started this shop on the ground floor of Lenaine Estate because the location at 5-9-189 seemed right for a small jewelry business. It’s not a massive showroom like the ones you see in the malls, but we have enough room for our counters and the safe. People come in looking for specific things, and we do our best to help them find what they need without pushing anything on them. Being at Jawaharat Ul Osman Jewellers means spending a lot of time looking at small details and talking to customers about their families. We’ve known some of the people who walk through that door for years. The shop gets a bit of dust from the street, so cleaning the glass cases is a never-ending task. Sometimes the tea man comes by twice a day, and that’s when we take a small break. It's a quiet kind of work most of the time. We don't have a big marketing team or a website that looks like a magazine. It’s just us here on the ground floor. We focus on the pieces we have and making sure the scales are accurate. The lights in the shop are bright so we can see the stones clearly, which makes the space feel a bit warmer than it probably is. Working with gold and stones is mostly about being careful and honest with people. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
