A J Mineral Water

Our place is tucked away at 20-4-104/27 in Panch Mohalla, right near the Charminar area. Being in such an old and crowded part of the city means the streets are tight and things are always moving fast. We spend our days filling up water cans and getting them onto the trucks for delivery. It is a wet job, and there is always water on the floor, but that is just the nature of the mineral water business. We started here because there was a clear need for clean water in the neighborhood. Every morning starts very early, usually before the sun is even up, so we can get the deliveries out before the traffic gets too bad around the monument. We have a lot of regular customers who have been with us for years. They know our faces and we know their houses and exactly where they want the cans placed. It is not a glamorous job, carrying heavy cans up and down stairs all day, but it’s what we do to earn a living. Sometimes the filtration machinery acts up or a truck gets a flat tire in the narrow lanes, and it sets us back a bit. We don't have a big office with chairs; it’s mostly just the filtration area and a place to stack the empty cans. We keep to ourselves and just focus on making sure the water is good and the deliveries happen on time. It’s a simple life working here in Panch Mohalla, and we are fine with that.
