Venkatrama Poultries Limited

We’ve been running the poultry farm here in Hyderabad for quite some time now. It’s a lot of work every day. People come to us for eggs and birds. We just stay busy with the feeding and keeping the sheds clean. It gets hot here in the summer so we have to watch the water levels closely. My brother helps out with the transport side of things. Sometimes the market prices go up and down and that makes things a bit tricky for us. We started out small with just a few sheds. Now there’s more but the routine is pretty much the same. Most days start before the sun is even up. We check the feed first thing. The local shops know where we are. We don't really do much advertising because everyone around here already knows the spot. It’s just honest work with animals. Some days are harder than others especially when the weather changes fast. We just keep going. Hyderabad has grown a lot around us but we stay right here. It’s what we know how to do. The birds need constant attention so someone is always on site. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. Just the farm and the trucks. Sometimes we sit out back and have tea when the work is done. It’s a decent life if you don’t mind the smell and the early mornings. We have been doing this for years and plan to keep it that way.
