Vasavadatta Cement , Sedam

I work at the GM Civil office for Vasavadatta Cement, located right here in Sedam. We’re part of the Gulbarga district in Karnataka. The 585 222 pincode is where I spend most of my time. Being on the civil side of the cement business means we are always looking at the infrastructure and the physical plant. It is a lot of hands-on work. We don't sit in air-conditioned offices all day; we are out there seeing how things are holding up on the ground. Sedam is a town that really revolves around the cement industry. We have been a part of this landscape for quite some time now. Our office isn't built for show. It’s built for utility. We handle the technical and civil aspects that keep the whole site functional for the company. It gets quite busy, especially when there are new projects or maintenance cycles to deal with. We don't bother with fancy brochures or marketing slogans. We just focus on the engineering and the brick-and-mortar reality of the plant. If you know the Sedam area, you know where the Vasavadatta site is. It’s a huge part of the local economy. We are just a team of people making sure the buildings and grounds are what they need to be. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes. Karnataka has many such industrial hubs, and we’ve been working in this one for a while.
