We are located in Simhagiri Colony, which is right in the New Gajuwaka area of Visakhapatnam. Being in a coastal city like Vizag has its own set of challenges, especially with the salt air and humidity affecting the equipment, but we are used to it by now. Our office at 23-7-67/1 is a simple space where we handle the engineering work for the region. We spend most of our hours looking at site maps and trying to coordinate the different labor crews. There is usually a layer of dust on everything because of all the construction projects happening in this part of town. We don't really do the whole formal corporate thing here. Most of us show up in our work gear and just get on with whatever needs doing that day. The team is made up of local people, so we have a good handle on how things work in Andhra Pradesh. Sometimes we run into issues with the port or material shipments being late, but we always find a way to stay on track. It involves a lot of phone calls and double-checking the numbers on our drawings. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the projects in front of us. It is hard work, but it’s what keeps the city moving forward. We usually grab some lunch from the stalls nearby and talk about the next day's schedule.
