Swathi Constructions,Hyderabad

We are Swathi Constructions, based over in the Trimulgherry area of Secunderabad. Our office is at Plot No. 83, specifically Flat No. 202 in the P & T Colony. K. Shyam Sunder Reddy is the main person here, and he’s been running things for a long time. We aren’t a massive construction firm with hundreds of cranes; we are more of a local operation that handles smaller projects and residential work around Hyderabad. Our office is inside an apartment building, so it feels very much like a home environment. We spend a lot of our time looking over blueprints or talking to laborers on the phone. It can get pretty hectic when we have a couple of houses being built at the same time, but we like the work. There isn’t a fancy lobby or any of those modern glass walls you see in the big corporate towers downtown. It’s just some desks, some chairs, and a lot of rolled-up drawings sitting in the corner. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most of our work comes from people just telling their friends about us. We try to be honest about how long things will take and how much they will cost, even if it’s not what people want to hear. It’s a basic business built on just showing up and getting the walls put up right. We’re just local people doing local building.
