If you go up towards Toli Chowki and find Virasath Nagar, you’ll find our place at H No 9-3-396/A/3. Hyderabad is a city that never really slows down, and this neighborhood is no different. Our office is a bit of a climb to get to, but it gives us a decent view of the street. It’s a very local atmosphere here. We share the building with other families and small businesses. Inside, the space is filled with stacks of papers and a couple of computers that have been around for a while. We handle the supervisor duties for the area from this small hub. The noise from the traffic on the main road reaches us, but we’ve grown used to it. We keep a water cooler in the corner because it gets incredibly dry in the summer. There’s no big sign on the door, just the house number. Most people find us through word of mouth or by looking at the address on their letters. It’s an unpretentious way to work. We don’t have meetings in boardrooms; we usually just talk across the desks. The work is mostly about keeping things organized and making sure the logs are updated. It is a bit cramped, but it feels like home after all these years. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, making sure all the paperwork is filed correctly before we leave.
