Working at Sulekha here in Hyderabad is always an interesting experience. Our address record mentions B.Sc. and M.B.A., which is a bit funny because it actually reflects the backgrounds of some of the people who started this branch. We are right in the heart of the city, and the energy of Hyderabad definitely finds its way into our office every day. It is a media company, so things can get a little bit hectic when there is a lot of news or data coming in at once. We do not have a lot of decorations on the walls, mostly just some calendars and a few notes we have pinned up for ourselves. The desks are usually covered in notebooks and pens because we still like to write things down by hand. We have a small area where we eat lunch, and usually, someone is sharing a home-cooked meal they brought from home. The lighting in the office is a bit bright, but it keeps us awake during those long afternoons. We do not have a big sign out front or anything like that. People who need to find us usually just know the way or give us a call to get directions. It is a functional space where we focus on our media tasks. We are not big on formal meetings; we prefer to just talk over the desks when something needs to be decided quickly.
