S.M.R Builders Pvt Ltd. operates from Vengal Rao Nagar in Hyderabad. Our office is located at 49/C, which is actually the same building as Swapana Mens Hostel. It’s a bit of a funny setup, but it works for us. There are always young guys coming and going from the hostel, so the area stays pretty lively throughout the day and night. We have a small section of the building where we handle all the company stuff. Hyderabad is a big city, but Vengal Rao Nagar feels a bit more like a neighborhood where people actually know each other. We spend a lot of time on our phones talking to contractors and checking on materials. The office is usually cluttered with samples and various bits of paperwork that need signing. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of employees; we are just a focused group trying to stay on top of our projects. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard to get out for meetings, but we’re used to the city's pace. It’s a straightforward way to live and work. We have our routine, starting with coffee and a look at the schedule. Being near the hostel means there is always a tea stall or a snack shop open nearby.
